SYNCITY ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our") is a professional networking platform designed exclusively to help music artists, producers, DJs, promoters, and visual artists discover and connect with one another. By creating an account or using any feature of SYNCITY, you agree to this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use in full.

SYNCITY is a connection facilitation platform only. Our sole purpose is to provide tools that allow music professionals to find and initiate contact with one another.

SYNCITY is not a party to any agreement, transaction, collaboration, financial arrangement, or relationship formed between users. Once two users connect through the Platform, any and all subsequent communications, negotiations, collaborations, contracts, financial transactions, or disputes that occur — whether on or off the Platform — are solely between those users.

SYNCITY expressly disclaims all liability for:

• Any financial transactions, payments, or monetary disputes between users
• Any agreements, contracts, or verbal/written commitments made between users
• Any collaborations, creative work, or professional engagements arranged through connections made on the Platform
• Any personal, professional, or commercial harm arising from interactions initiated through the Platform
• Any communications, actions, or conduct of users outside the Platform

You are solely responsible for:

• All content you post, share, or transmit on the Platform
• Verifying the identity, credentials, and legitimacy of other users before entering into any agreement or transaction
• Any agreements or financial arrangements you enter into with other users
• Conducting your own due diligence before collaborating with or compensating any other user
• Complying with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws in connection with your use of the Platform and any activities arising from connections made on it

SYNCITY strongly advises users to use written contracts, consult legal counsel, and exercise independent judgment before entering any professional or financial arrangement with another user.

To provide core features, SYNCITY may request the following device permissions:

• Location: Used to populate your city/region on your profile for discovery and search. Location is only used when you explicitly enter or update your city. We do not access your precise GPS location in the background.
• Camera / Photo Library: Used solely to allow you to upload a profile photo or add images to your gallery. Photos are only accessed when you initiate an upload.
• Microphone / Audio Files: Used solely to allow you to attach audio to a feed post. Audio files are only accessed when you initiate an upload.
• Notifications: Used to alert you to new messages, connection requests, and platform updates. You may opt out at any time in your device's notification settings.

None of these permissions are accessed in the background or shared with third-party advertisers.

We collect the following data to operate the Platform:

• Account data: Email address, username, password (hashed), and profile information you provide (bio, city, category, profile photo, social links)
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions with the Platform for analytics and improvement purposes
• Communications: Messages sent through the Platform's internal messaging system
• Location data: City and geographic coordinates you voluntarily provide for discovery and search features
• Payment data: Subscription payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors. SYNCITY does not store your full payment card details

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform
• Display your profile to other users for discovery and connection
• Send account-related notifications and service updates
• Process subscription payments
• Enforce these Terms and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Location data (city, state, and geographic coordinates) you provide is used to populate your profile and power nearby-professional discovery and search. Your city and region are visible on your profile; precise coordinates are never displayed to other users.

Messages sent through SYNCITY's internal messaging system are stored on our servers to deliver the service. Users should be aware that no messaging system is 100% secure. Do not share sensitive personal, financial, or legal information via the Platform's messaging feature.

SYNCITY reserves the right — but not the obligation — to review messages reported for abuse or violation of these Terms.

User profiles may include links to third-party platforms (Spotify, SoundCloud, Instagram, etc.). SYNCITY has no control over and accepts no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party platform. Visiting or transacting on third-party platforms is entirely at your own risk.

PRO subscriptions are billed monthly. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. SYNCITY does not offer refunds for partial billing periods. Subscription fees are subject to change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

You retain ownership of all content you post on SYNCITY. By posting content, you grant SYNCITY a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform. SYNCITY does not claim ownership of your music, artwork, or creative works.

SYNCITY reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in harassment, post illegal content, or misuse the Platform. Terminated users forfeit any remaining subscription period without refund.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. SYNCITY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYNCITY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR PERSONAL INJURY — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM, OR FROM ANY INTERACTION WITH ANOTHER USER, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

SYNCITY'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SYNCITY IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SYNCITY and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses — including legal fees — arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) any agreement or transaction you enter into with another user; or (d) any content you post on the Platform.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

SYNCITY reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will notify active users via email.
