Copyright & DMCA Policy

Last updated: October 2026 · SYNCITY Platform

This page explains your responsibilities when posting content, how rights holders can report unauthorized material, and how SYNCITY reviews and responds to complaints. It is not legal advice and does not guarantee any particular legal outcome.

1. POSTING CONTENT — YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

SYNCITY lets you share photos, posts, and other content on your profile and in the feed. When you post any content, you are solely responsible for making sure you have the right to share it.

You must own or have explicit permission for all rights in anything you post, including photos, artwork, videos, and any embedded material. Posting content that belongs to someone else without authorization may infringe copyright and can expose you to legal liability.

By posting any content, you confirm that:

  • You own the rights to the content, or you have written permission from every rights holder to share it.
  • The content does not contain unauthorized copyrighted material.
  • You understand SYNCITY may restrict or remove the content if a valid complaint is received.
  • You will indemnify SYNCITY against claims arising from content you post.

Re-posting someone else's photo, artwork, or content you found online is not permitted. If you are unsure whether you have the rights, do not post it.

2. FILING A COPYRIGHT COMPLAINT

If you believe content on SYNCITY infringes your copyright, you can submit a notice using the form below. To help us review your claim quickly, please provide all of the following:

  • Your identification: full legal name, email, and (optional) phone and organization.
  • The copyrighted work: a description of the original work you own (title, artist, registration number if any).
  • The infringing content: the exact SYNCITY profile or post URL, and a description of what is unauthorized.
  • Two declarations: a good-faith statement and an accuracy/authorization statement (checkboxes below).
  • Your electronic signature: typing your full legal name acts as your signature.

You may also submit a notice by email to support@syncity.app with the same information.

Note: A formal DMCA designated agent and mailing address should be established and listed here before this process is treated as a compliant DMCA channel. Until then, notices are reviewed under SYNCITY's general copyright process.

3. HOW SYNCITY REVIEWS & RESPONDS

When we receive a complete notice, our team will:

  • Review the notice to confirm it contains the required information.
  • Assess the reported content and, where appropriate, restrict or remove access to it.
  • Notify the user who posted the content that a complaint was received and what action was taken.
  • Keep a record of the notice and our response.

We may decline to act on notices that are incomplete, clearly without merit, or that do not appear to relate to protectable copyright. SYNCITY reserves the right — but not the obligation — to remove or restrict content at any time.

4. COUNTER-NOTICES

If your content was removed and you believe it was removed in error — for example, because you own the rights or your use is authorized — you may submit a counter-notice. A counter-notice should include your contact information, the removed content's URL, a statement under penalty of perjury that the content was removed in error, and your electronic signature.

Counter-notices can be sent to support@syncity.app. We review counter-notices in accordance with applicable law and may restore content if appropriate.

5. REPEAT INFRINGERS

SYNCITY maintains a repeat-infringer policy. Accounts that receive multiple valid copyright complaints may have their uploaded content restricted, and the account may be suspended or terminated in appropriate circumstances.
